Promise Made on Signal Mountain

‘Promise’ was the second song written for the album.  Before his passing, I met my wife’s grandfather only once at their house in Signal Mountain, TN.  The two of us had a fireside chat where all he asked was for me to promise in taking care of his little girl.  He meant the world to her and it was an absolute honor for him to accept me into the family.  ‘Grams’, as we call her grandmother, is one of the most beautiful, sharp, and giving women I’ve ever known.  I’m so happy to know her the way I do.  Every time I see Grams, I’m reminded by the promise  I made in taking care of my bride.
